The life of Vera-Ellen is a fascinating one as she is an actress, singer, dancer, writer, designer, producer, and model. She was born on the 16 of February 1921 in Munich, Germany. Wolfgang Voss's father is a well-known painter, and her mother, Ingrid Voss, is a model.

She has two brothers, Hans-Michael and Manfred Voss, also actors and singers. Veronika is best known for her role in The Blue Angel's musical film. She is also the co-founder of the International Ballet Academy (IBA), a school in Berlin, Germany. Voss was born in Munich, Germany, but spent most of her childhood in Zell am See, Austria. She was educated at the University of Vienna.

Vera has two sisters named Anna and Lisa, and she grew up in Munich. When she was five years old, the family moved to Paris, France. As a child, she had to study hard for her exams as she was the oldest of her siblings. Her father taught her to draw and paint. He also taught her English, French, and Spanish.

Rohe (a piano tuner) and Alma (Westmeyer) Rohe; married Robert Hightower (a dancer; marriage ended); married Victor Rothschild (an oilman), on November 19, 1954 (divorced 1966).

Appeared as a Rockette at Radio City Music Hall (1930s); made stage debut in Very Warm for May (1939); signed to MGM and made film debut in The Wonder Man (1945); danced opposite leading stars Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, and others in series of musicals (1940s–1950s); retired from film (1957).

Vera-Ellen (February 16, 1921 – August 30, 1981) was an Americanactress and dancer. She danced with Fred Astaire, Danny Kaye, Gene Kelly and several others. She played Princess Maria in the movie Call Me Madam. She also played Judy Haynes in the movie White Christmas.

She was born in Norwood, Ohio, a suburb of Cincinnati. She died from cancer at age sixty.
