Achild prodigy and a star throughout the Spanish-speaking world, the Colombian vocalist Shakira made a successful crossover to English-language pop with her 2001 album Laundry Service. Shakira Kibirige was born in 1986 in Nyenga Uganda. She is a certified makeup artist and hairdresser who, for the past twelve years, has used these talents mainly in film and television where she is the head of the makeup, special effects makeup, hair and costume department/s.
