Christopher John George (February 25, 1931 – November 28, 1983) was an American television and film actor who starred in the 1960s television series The Rat Patrol. He was nominated for a Golden Globe Award in 1967 as Best TV Star for his performance in the series. He was also the recipient of a New York Film Festival award as the Best Actor in a Television Commercial. George was married to actress Lynda Day George.

Early life

Christopher George was born in Royal Oak, Michigan, on February 25, 1931, the son of Greek immigrants John George originally Georgiou (Greek: Ιωάννης Γεωργίου) and Vaseleke (Vassiliki) George (Greek: Βασιλική Γεωργίου).[1] His father was born in Thebes and his mother in Athens.[2]

Dr Christophe George is a Research Associate at the Cambridge Centre for Business Research, specialised in CSR and ESG matters. His research lies at the intersection between the fields of company law, management, and sustainable finance. 

His doctoral thesis, titled “Corporate Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility: How to Tackle Environmental Imperatives in Company Law? (Legal and Management Perspectives)” focused on the impacts and integration of environmental and social issues in company law with cross-disciplinary insights, comprising both practical and theoretical considerations. 

It received the 2023 Law Faculty Prize of the University of Lausanne and was published in October 2023 (Stämpfli Publishers, 950 pages).
