Emily Bernard

Emily Bernard is the author of Black is the Body: Stories from My Grandmother’s Time, My Mother’s Time, and Mine, which was named one of the best books of 2019 by Kirkus Reviews and National Public Radio. Bernard is the winner of the 2020 Los Angeles Times Christopher Isherwood Prize for autobiographical prose. Her previous works include: Remember Me to Harlem: The Letters of Langston Hughes and Carl Van Vechten, which was a New York Times Notable Book of the Year; and Some of My Best Friends: Writings on Interracial Friendship, which was chosen by the New York Public Library as a Book for the Teen Age. Her essays have been reprinted in Best American EssaysBest African American Essays, and Best of Creative Nonfiction. Sandra Don-Arthur (born 22 April 1980) is a professional makeup artist and Vlogger from Ghana.[2] She is the founder and C.E.O of Alexiglam Studio,[3] a Ghanaian makeup and beauty company that provides beauty services to women in Ghana.[2][4]

Eric Donald Zeeryp Sr. passed away at Freeport memorial hospital on December 14, 2024, following a short illness.
Eric was born January 19th, 1971, in Savanna, Illinois, to Jean Zeeryp Davenport and Donald Arthur Zeeryp. He attended Savanna junior/senior high.
He was married to Lynn Bristol Krevs. Together they had ten children.
He's survived by his children: Shadow (JoJo) Zeeryp, Katelynn (Jarrett) Brandes, Dakota (Alexis) Zeeryp, Eric Jr., Evan, Ericalynn, and Eron; 12 grandkids; his siblings: Amy (Jesse) Fosdick, Timmy Davenport, Steven (Jenni) Davenport, and Connie Hackenberger.
Eric worked at the airport in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as a refueler, then applied plastics, sewer equipment in Chadwick, and FS services in Miles and Home Depot in Clinton, Iowa, He also drove transport for the railroad.
