Pastor Robert William Davis

Pastor Robert W. Davis, age 89 of Grand Haven, was called by his heavenly Father to come home to heaven on September 25, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Muskegon, MI.

Bob was born on September 22, 1929 to Earl and Irene (White) Davis.  He grew up in Springfield, IL.  He graduated from Bob Jones University in 1955 with a Pastoral degree. He worked for Youth for Christ in Milwaukee, WI where he met the true love of his life, Echo Eastlund, and married her on November 16, 1957. He continued with YFC in Decatur, IL before returning to Milwaukee to attend Milwaukee Bible Institute in 1960 when their daughter Nancy Jean was born.  When the Institute moved to Wyoming, MI as Grace Bible College, he moved his family to Grand Rapids, MI to continue his studies and became Ordained as a minister for the Grace Gospel Fellowship. 

In 1965 he began working for Grace Ministries International in Wyoming, MI as a printer, remaining there for 22 years. He also worked for several years printing for Bible Doctrines to Live By in Grand Rapids. In 1966 h

Bob Davies was born and raised in Scarborough, Ontario.  Though the church was generally at a distance during Bob’s youth, the Lord used ministries like Stockade, and Camp Kwasind, to speak into Bob’s life.  A few years later, youth leaders at Agincourt Baptist Church connected Bob with Youth for Christ’s‘Praise Gatherings’ where he heard the message of Jesus in a contemporary musical language he could understand.  Within a year of making a decision to follow Jesus, in the midst of a difficult time at the church, Bob realized God was also calling him vocationally into the C

Rev. Robert Calloway Davis

Rev. Robert Calloway Davis, age 92, of Richmond, departed this life on January 27, 2025. He pastored Union Baptist Church for 48 years. He was also a former pastor of Antioch Baptist Church, where he served for nine years. He also retired from the Richmond Public Schools as a Social Studies Teacher. Rev. Davis is preceded in death by his wife, LaVerne Davis. He is survived by one daughter, Denise Davis; a host of nieces and nephews; one sister-in-law, Sally Hughes; other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where the family will receive friends from 6:30pm - 7:30pm on Friday, February 7, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Fifth Baptist Church (Rev. Earl Brown, pastor),1415 W. Cary St, where remains will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral time. Rev. Wendell Johnson, officiating. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church at 10:45am on Saturday.
