Early music: Although I've played a number of musical styles over the years, my first passion was early music. I got a Recorder major from Oberlin Conservatory, and worked with the Chicago Early Music Consort for a few years before I moved to Minnesota in 1984. There I played with the Lyra Concert baroque orchestra, performing about 15 different recorder concertos.
