oni Tata Pradita became the first Indonesian rider to win a point in the history of the Moto2 World Championship after he finished 15th, his best position in the 2013 racing season, on the Philip Island Circuit, Australia, on Sunday.
The 23-year-old Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 rider started in 25th position just behind Rafid Topan Sucipto, the other Indonesian rider in the championship who was riding for the QMMF Racing Team.
Doni managed to improve his position and finished 15th, the last points position. Rafid, 19-years-old, also passed some riders to reach 16th position but ended in 20th.
The Moto2 race in Australia saw Spanish rider Pol Espargaro secure first on the podium, followed by Swiss Thomas Luthi and another Spaniard Jordi Torres.
Doni's first point saw him reach 28th position in the standings. Espargaro is currently top with 240 points, followed by the British rider Scott Redding (224).
The Moto2 championship is the second highest class below the MotoGP.

Indonesian motorcycle racer
Doni Tata Pradita (born 21 January 1990) is an Indonesian motorcycle racer who raced in the 2013 Moto2 World Championship. In 2008, he raced for YamahaPertamina Indonesia Team in the 2008 250cc Grand Prix World Championship.[1] Doni is the first Indonesian rider ever to participate in a 250cc Grand Prix World Championship race & remains the only Indonesian rider to score points in intermediate class so far.
Career
Early years
Pradita was born in Sleman, Special Region of Yogyakarta, and appeared in underbone motorcycle racing in Indonesia from an early age. He won two consecutive championships (2003, 2004) in the Novice Class of the Yamaha regional under 110cc 4T race series, the Yamaha Asean Cup.
125cc, 250cc World Championships
He got wildcard in year 2005 – 2007 at class 125 & 250 cc 2005 Malaysia.[2] In 2007, he took part in the GP250 class of the All Japan Road Race Championship. In 2008, he raced in the 250cc Grand Prix World Championship and managed to score 1
